Colorado Parks and Wildlife
CHALLENGE
Colorado Parks and Wildlife needed a cohesive set of visual assets for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), a program that supports public outdoor recreation across Coloradoβfrom trails and river access to playgrounds, parks, and recreation facilities. The goal was to create a unified sticker collection (both die cut and sticker sheets) that could also extend into future print and digital communications.
SOLUTION
I created a collection of five original illustrated assets alongside the existing LWCF and Colorado Parks and Wildlife logos. Drawing from a βModern Heritageβ direction, I combined bold silhouettes, geometric badge shapes, and classic outdoor-patch influences to create a visual system that feels distinctly Colorado.
The designs represent land, water, and community recreation, with opportunities to integrate βLWCFβ and βColoradoβ directly into the artwork. A coordinated palette built around LWCF Green, CPW Blue, Gold, and Orange ties the collection back to the existing program branding.
OUTCOME
The final system gives LWCF a recognizable visual language that works beyond the sticker pack. Each illustration can stand alone as a die-cut sticker, magnet, or icon while maintaining a consistent family resemblance, allowing the assets to scale across brochures, publications, digital outreach, and other program materials.
The final 7-sticker sheet creates a cohesive, audience-friendly way to introduce the LWCF program and its impact across Colorado.
Designed to feel approachable, collectible, and distinct to the Colorado community and landscape, the full pack gives the program a visual tool that can engage outdoor audiences while reinforcing its mission and the organizations behind it.
